Applicants can submit their details, select academic programs, upload supporting documents, and monitor their application progress. Application Workflow

Security Features

The project documentation describes PDO prepared statements, secure session controls, CSRF protection, XSS filtering, and .htaccess restrictions for uploaded files and internal directories. These measures provide a foundation for safer application handling, but the deployment should still be reviewed and tested before processing real student information.

Installation

Install locally using XAMPP or WAMP, or deploy to compatible Apache hosting. The web installer checks the environment, accepts database settings, creates the required tables, and can load demo data. Manual SQL installation instructions and configuration templates are also included.

Demo Accounts

When demo data is installed, use these accounts to evaluate the system:

• Admissions Officer: admin / admin123
• Pending Applicant: student / student123
• Accepted Applicant: student2 / student123

These are demonstration credentials. Change default passwords before deployment and restrict access to the installation tools and uploaded documents.
